WCC Wrestling Champions!

The Eagles traveled to Cloverdale on Saturday to compete in the West Central Conference Wrestling tournament and came out on top for the second year in a row! Along with the team championship, the Eagles also took almost half of the individual classes as well.  Individual winners were: 113  Nick Owen 132  Jacob Lorimer 160

Wrestlers Busy over Break!

On December 28th, the team traveled to Ben Davis for the Giant Invitational and came away with some impressive performances.  Joe Waters and Jacob Williams won their weight classes on the day with five others finishing in the top four.  Four was also the place where the Eagles finished on the day; pretty impressive considering

Wrestlers Win County!

The varsity wrestling teams got off to a great start on Thursday night and continued throughout the evening to claim not only the 2013 team county wrestling title, but half the individual titles as well! The wrestling team had its first tough match of the season facing a strong Southmont team without the full force of its lineup! It was an interesting night of wrestling at South Putnam with a limited crew available coming off the football regional this past weekend, but the Eagles got it done on the mat for the first win of the season! The wrestlers are working hard in anticipation of their first match against Rockville on November 19th!  With a strong senior presence, the Eagles should be hard to contend with this season.
