Bennett Claims County Wrestling Title

The South Putnam wrestling team competed in the Putnam County Tourney last night at North Putnam. Wrestling Kicks off Season at John Hurrle Invitational

The wrestling team began its season this weekend at Tech High School for the John Hurrle Invite. The team finished 12th overall out of 22 total teams participating. In-School Physical Night, 6-8pm

Don’t forget that South Putnam will be holding in-school physicals tonight for any student interested in participating in athletics throughout the 2017-2018 school year.  Physicals will run from 6-8pm and cost $20.

Shaffer Finished 3rd in the State

On Saturday, senior Kyle Shaffer competed for the Wrestling State Championship in the 195 pound bracket.  Shaffer ended the weekend placing 3rd individually and 26th in the team standings, out of the 310 schools in the tournament. 195 – Kyle Shaffer (49-1) Champ. Kyle Shaffer Finishes First at Semistate!

Over the weekend, Kyle Shaffer traveled to Evansville to compete in Wrestling Semistate.  Shaffer ended the day as 195 Champion and added to is 50-0 record for the season. 195 – Kyle Shaffer, 1st Champ.
