Long day, late night. Girls ran first, and they ran well. They were unused to running in the evening, so it was a bit of a mental shock to the system. Nonetheless, they still ran decent times and were able to learn some valuable lessons that will aid them later in the season.
Similar conditions for the boys’ team, slightly different results. They did a solid job of competing, and a few of them came away with PRs. Dunkin York snagged the final All-WIC spot by finishing 15th, battling from start to finish and earning a new PR along the way. Brent Wiggins and Griffin Garner each ran outside their comfort zones and came away from the meet with huge PRs as well. Overall, the boys ran well and finished 9th.

Next up, Putnam County Meet at SP on Saturday, Sept. 26.
