South jumped out early to defeat Indy Howe 30-14. Besides one big play and a late drive, the Eagle defense dominated the Hornets, holding them to 48 rushing yards.

The Eagles earn the right to come back home and host Traders Point Christian for the Sectional 45 Championship. The Eagles are looking to add the 11th Sectional title to the program’s history.

Scoring for the Eagles:
Dalton Scott – 4 rushing touchdowns, 1, 2 point conversion.
Hayden Switzer – 1, 2 point conversion.
Kain Gregory – 1, 2 point conversion

The dominating defense was led by Jackson Wood, Demetrius Leo, Dalton Scott, Austin Wislon, Gabe Langley, Parker Hacker, and Andrew Gilliland who each recorded quarterback sacks. Wilson, Colton Grundlock,and Nick Theis each scooped up a fumble recovery and Devin Cashion intercepted a Howe 2 point conversion. Scott led the way offensively racking up 158 yards on 30 carries.

The Eagles host Traders Point Christian Friday at Wildman Field, 7 PM kickoff.
