Despite only having nine girls available to compete in a five-way meet, the SP girls’ T&F team did a good job of holding their own against much bigger competition. In the field events, Bree Mahoney-Sutherland finished first place in shot put and second in discus. On the track, the 3200m Relay team (Grace Burdge, Sarah Jones, Ally Menke, Samara Young) took first place. Also finishing first was freshman Bayli Clampitt in the 400m. Overall it was a good showing by the team, and they were able to come away with a third place finish.
The SP T&F teams will next be competing on Thursday, April 18 against Cloverdale, Owen Valley, and Lighthouse Christian. This meet is scheduled to begin at 5:00.
