South Blows Away Greencastle By 12 Runs

The varsity baseball team had no trouble on offense last night, winning big over Greencastle 17-5. Greencastle opened up scoring in the first inning, when Dylan Crum induced Gus Manion to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored. Boys Win Varsity Track Meet Over Clay City, Shakamak

The Eagle boys’ team took the three-way meet last night, outscoring both Clay City and Shakamak 80-77-9, respectively. Five RBI Day For Branden Demoret Seals The Deal In Victory Over Greencastle

“Branden Demoret was an RBI machine on Tuesday, driving in five on two hits to lead the Eagle’s baseball team past Greencastle 11-1. Demoret drove in runs on a home run in the fifth and a double in the sixth. South Putnam secured the victory thanks to six runs in the sixth inning. Dru Teipen, Aidan LeBlanc, and Demoret powered the big inning with RBIs.

Softball Falls to Edgewood, 3-9

The Lady Eagles fell to the Mustangs last night as Edgewood defeated South 9-3. Alex Steffy was the losing pitcher. Leighla Hazlett played a good game in Right Field. The girls’ next game is the Putnam County Tournament on Saturday at Greencastle High School.
