The boys’ swim team finished out their season yesterday at the Sectional meet at Vigo County. The Eagles had outstanding swims across the board, and every swimmer turned in a lifetime best. Several school records were lowered yet again and the guys raced courageously in the face of daunting competitors from Plainfield, Avon and Terre Haute North. In the end, the team finished 5th behind the above mentioned three schools and Danville. Below is a quick recap of events from Saturday’s finals (You can read more about prelims and see times for the swimmers for that portion of the meet here).
200 Medley Relay: Grant Cordell, Evan Steffy, Kyle Cunningham and Zion Harris finished 2nd to Plainfield with a new school record time of 1:39.75. It’s the 34th fastest time in the state.
