The Swimming & Diving team hosted a competitive, four-way swim meet last night with Tri-West, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter and Covenant Christian. The Eagle boys finished second overall and the girls finished third. Despite it being early in the season, there were several swimmers who improved upon their lifetime bests:
Marcus Robinson: 50 freestyle & 50 backstroke (relay lead off)
Zion Harris: 200 freestyle
Max Dunaway: 200 freestyle, 100 freestyle & 50 freestyle (relay lead off)
Gillian Jones: 50 freestyle & 100 breaststroke
Kyle Cunningham: 50 freestyle
Grant Cordell: 100 butterfly
Steven Theis: 100 butterfly
Caitlyn Phillips: 100 freestyle
Alex Steffy: 100 freestyle
Haylee Romalia: 500 freestyle
Levi Gibson: 100 backstroke
Ally Menke: 100 breaststroke
First place finishes went to the boys’ medley relay team of Cordell, Evan Steffy, Cunningham and Harris; Sammi Jones in the 200 and 500 freestyle; Evan Steffy in the 200IM and 500 freestyle; Lee Haywood in diving; the boys’ 200 freestyle relay team of Cordell, Cunningham, Harris and Steffy; Keeli Pastore in the 100 backstroke and Grant Cordell in the 100 breaststroke.
The swimmers will be back in action again at home on Thursday, Dec. 12th at 6pm.
