Varsity Baseball · Crum Throws No-Hitter As Eagles Defeat Eminence

Dylan Crum was brilliant on the hill on Monday, as he threw a no-hitter to lead South past Eminence 12-0.

The Eagles Varsity team fired up the offense in the first inning, scoring one run when Tanner Pistelli doubled.

South scored four runs in the fourth inning. The Eagles’ offense in the inning came from a home run by Hunter Croan and an error on a ball put in play by Aidan LeBlanc.

Crum earned the win for South Putnam. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out five.

Braden Tudor took the loss for Eminence. He lasted one inning, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out one.

Daniel Kelsey started the game for Eminence. He surrendered six runs on five hits over two innings, walking zero.

The Eagles smacked one home run on the day. Croan had a dinger in the fourth inning.

South collected 11 hits. Branden DemoretCroanLeBlancPistelli, and Hayden Switzer all managed multiple hits for South Putnam Eagles VarsitySwitzerPistelliLeBlancCroan, and Demoret each managed two hits to lead South. The Eagles didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jackson Wood had the most chances in the field with eight. The Eagles tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Switzer led the way with four.
