Girls Varsity Track · Eagle Girls’ Take Second in Three-Way Meet

Tuesday’s track meet against Clay City and Shakamak featured numerous great performances from our athletes on the track and in the field events.

Ally Nichols and Grace Burdge each won all of their events. Ally won the 200m and 400m, Grace won the 800m and 1600m, and the two of them were on the winning 1600m Relay and 3200m Relay teams. On the 3200m Relay, they were joined by Lillie Stein and Ally Menke, and Alex Fanning and Lillie Stein were each on the winning 1600m Relay. Also walking away from the night with a victory was Caitlin Capps, winning the Discus event by nearly 20 feet.

These first place finishes combined with the many other scoring individuals allowed the girls’ track team to finish 2nd in this three-way meet. They will next be competing at Owen Valley along with Cloverdale on Thursday, April 19.
