Varsity Baseball · Eagles Varsity Out-Hits Competition, Yet Cascade Takes The Win

Even though the South Putnam baseball team collected six hits to Cascade’s five, they still fell 5-0 on Monday.

A single by Aidan LeBlanc in the first inning was a positive for South Putnam Eagles Varsity.

Ira Moore was the winning pitcher for Cascade. He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on six hits, striking out seven and walking zero.

Hunter Croan took the loss for South Putnam Eagles Varsity. He surrendered three runs on three hits over four innings, striking out two.

Hayden SwitzerTanner PistelliJackson WoodLeBlancDevin Cashion, and Branden Demoret each managed one hit to lead South Putnam Eagles Varsity. The Eagles’ team was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Wood made the most plays with 11.

Cascade scattered five hits in the game. Connor Horning and Ross Stephenson all collected multiple hits for Cascade. Cascade didn’t commit a single error in the field. Zac Roshong had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
