South Putnam Eagles Struggle Against Rockville Rox
Last night, the South Putnam Eagles Baseball team had trouble against the Rockville Roxs. The team lost 22-3 in six innings. South Putnam had a total of seven hits for the game and struggled to put anything together.
The Eagles kept the game scoreless through the first inning, but lost grip on the game when the Roxs got it going with a grand slam hit.
The score was 10-0 going in to the bottom of the fifth when South Putnam’s Tyler Long hit a three run shot off of the Rox’s pitcher. This gave the Eagles a possible chance for two more innings, but Rockville responded by scoring 12 more runs in the next inning.
South couldn’t get the bats going, recording only seven hits. That has been the story for the past few games for the Eagles. They get some runners on base, then they just can’t put anything together.
